Couture week shows the wild and wonderful creations from the biggest couture design houses come to life. Paris couture A/W 19 saw a revival of the Eighties, glitter brows, and everything taken to the extreme, nothing is to dramatic for the catwalk. We have picked our top looks for our beauty trends inspiration.
Viktor & Rolf showed cat like eyes to a dramatic extreme with black with hints of silver, gold and copper to shape the eye area. Wildly volume crimped hair gave references to Punk and the 80s rebel and fun attitude to style. Think David Bowie and Madonna ‘s love child your inspiration.
Ronald van der Kemp created looks for the catwalk with make-up artist Sil Bruinsma. The look oozed couture with a twist. Debuting black glossy lips and big sunglasses the look referenced the Punk trend and the return of back to black. Geometrics were the perfect partnership with this look. In our opinion the big sunglasses and black glossy lips ooze sass, are you brave enough to recreate this look?
Iconic Makeup artist Pat McGrath glammed the Valentino looks with the glitter brow. These babies have made a return and be ready to see the look filter through on your Instagram. The vibrant coloured glitter was designed below each model’s brow that gave that raised eyebrow look a more impactful expression.
The eighties trends were a memo every designer got but interpreted in different ways. Jean Paul Gautier paired the outfits with 80s hair created by Hairstylist Odile Gilbert. Sky-high Hair ponytails bobbed down the catwalks swaying in tune to the 80s tunes. Iconic hair looks of the decade were shown by thick, curly hair pushed in an up do. This look is recreating the era of volume from the power of shoulder pads to the powerhouse of hair.We’re really getting an 80’s Ariana Grande vibe here (the perfect combination).
