H&M is one of our favourite high street brands here at Benito HQ. It’s known for creating fantastic fashion collaborations, and its only just getting started with its homeware collaborations.
The first ever collection is with one of the ultimate interior and potter designers, Jonathan Alder. Well we can say it’s quite a collection and going to be a hard one to follow. If you don’t know Jonathan Alder then he is one to add to your inspiration board. Alder is known for his modern and glamour aesthetic with a twist of imagination. He started his company in New York in 1993 and has hugely impacted on the designer industry ever since.
We visited the new H&M Bullring Birmingham store (the dreamiest high street interior store) to see the new collection, and to see what the store had to offer.If minimalism isn’t your thing or if you are looking for statement interior pieces then this is the collection and place for you.
The Collection
The collection focuses on social areas of the living room and lounge. The pieces are offering a glimpse of the wonderful creative world of Jonathan Adler. Key pieces include vases, candle holders, trays in jewel-toned geometric patterns and fun illustrations. One of our favourite designs is of the illustrations of faces on ceramic vases and trays. These pieces are great gift pieces for the festive period or as a treat to yourself.
A simple way to add some colour to your home is through cushions. The collection offers a variety of choice if you are after a patterned, or embroidered one. There is even a slogan “Naughty or Nice” cushion the perfect way to do Christmas deco in style (not any style it’s the H&M style).
The store has every home thing your heart could ever desire. It caters to every room of the house and is in a pleasant botanic environment. You can even buy fresh flowers during your shop. There are house plants in every corner making it a relaxing inner-city jungle retreat. It’s the perfect place to gain home and gift idea inspiration. If you see something you want there as Adler says “My only rule? If you love it, it will work.” Who are we do argue with such wise words.
