Brow lamination sets your brow hairs in a brushed-up position and keeps them there. A gentle solution relaxes the hair at the root, we comb every hair into place, and a setting solution holds it. Nothing about the hair changes for good. It simply grows out with your natural cycle.
What it’s good for
Brows that are there but won’t behave: hairs that grow down, sideways or in three directions at once. Lamination lifts them into shape, closes gaps that were only gaps because the hair was lying flat, and makes the whole brow look fuller.
It can’t create hair you don’t have. If your brows are properly sparse there’s nothing to set, and a tint with a careful shape will do more for you. But if you’ve been doing soap brows every morning, you already know you’ll love it.
What’s included
Every lamination at Benito comes with an eyebrow shape and an eyebrow tint. There’s not much point setting a brow that hasn’t been shaped, and the tint gives the lifted hairs depth. It takes about 45 minutes.
How long it lasts
Six to eight weeks for most people, a little less if your hair is very fine. It relaxes gradually rather than dropping all at once.
The patch test
We need a patch test at least 24 hours before your appointment, and we’d advise 24 to 48. The solutions are chemically active, and your face is no place to find out you’re sensitive to them. We can’t do the treatment without one, even if that means rebooking.
Aftercare
Keep your brows dry for 24 hours: no steam, no swimming, no heavy workout. After that, brush them up each morning and use a brow oil or conditioner a few times a week. Laminated hair is thirstier than untreated hair, and a little conditioning stops it going brittle.
Leave at least six weeks between laminations. Over-processed brows look frizzy, not full.
