You can’t make a lash grow faster or longer than your genes allow. Each one grows for a few weeks, rests, then falls out and is replaced, and the cycle runs on its own timetable. What you can do is stop losing lashes before they’ve finished growing, and make the most of the length you already have.
Where lashes go
Mostly, they get rubbed out. Rubbing tired eyes, sleeping face down in the pillow, scrubbing mascara off at midnight. Lashes are pulled out far more often than they simply fall.
Waterproof mascara worn every day comes next. It’s made not to come off, so taking it off means friction. Curlers used on top of mascara are another, because a stiff, coated lash snaps instead of bending. And extensions worn set after set with no break, or picked at when they start to lift, take natural lashes with them.
Looking after them
Take eye make-up off by holding a damp pad against closed eyes for ten seconds so it melts, then wipe gently downwards. No scrubbing. A lash oil or conditioning serum at night keeps the hair supple, and supple hair breaks less. If you wear extensions, give your lashes a few weeks off between sets. And eat properly: lashes are protein, and a poor diet shows up in hair quickly.
Making the most of what you’ve got
Most lashes are longer than they look. A straight lash points towards whoever’s looking at you, so they see it end on, and the tips are often so fair they disappear against your skin. Two treatments sort that out without gluing anything on.
An eyelash tint darkens your lashes from root to tip, so the full length shows. Fifteen minutes, no upkeep, no mascara needed. It’s the most underrated thing on our menu.
A lash lift curls your own lashes up from the root and holds the curl for around six weeks, showing off the length that was pointing forwards. A tint is included, and the two together are what most people mean when they say they want more lashes without extensions. Our Korean lash lift takes a little longer and can last eight to ten weeks.
If your lashes are thinning, tell us. We’d rather tint and lift what you’ve got and let them recover than put extensions on lashes that can’t take the weight.
Tints and lifts need a patch test at least 24 hours before your first appointment. We’d advise 24 to 48.
