According to the internet, the future is here, and it is light up eyelashes. By that, we mean literal strips of eyelashes covered in lights that flash and sparkle. I KNOW, right?
Designer Tien Pham’s colour-changing LED lashes were debuted at Maker Faire, and they are utterly mesmerising.
Technology on your face might not SOUND like the safest idea, but the F.Lashes are apparently legit. They work by attaching to your lids with regular glue, while a teeny battery is attached to your head using hair clips. Two invisible wires then connect the battery to each eyelash strip, leaving you ready to glow.
The lashes have different modes, and one of those is the “dance mode”. We have no idea what that consists of, but it sounds amazing. There’s also a sparkle mode, which is completely necessary, obviously.
Unfortunately, the lashes aren’t available to buy yet – but there is hope. According to Pham’s Twitter page, a Kickstarter campaign will arrive in July for F.Lashes. If the campaign is successful, the team behind the invention will put them into production. They will come in pink, red, blue, light blue, white, yellow, and green, so you can choose them to match your outfit.
The future is here, and it is sparkly.
