Last week Kim Kardashian West introduced Skims a new line of shapewear to the UK to get rid of that old image and change women’s minds and approach when choosing the right shapewear. The range is now available across all Selfridges stores; London, Manchester, Birmingham and online.This UK launch features over 160 Skims products ranging in price from £8-£150 including their popular body suits, waist trainers and solution shorts. All designed to enhance, lift, smooth and tone there’s an option for everybody!

Gone are days of having friends to help you get in and out of shapewear, no more deep lines across your waist from all of the digging in. We have tried the Skims core control high rise at Benito HQ and have raving reviews, it can be used under dresses, jeans yet you feel like you can breathe underneath even when eating a big meal. I did not feel conscious that anyone can see you have shapewear on as the colour was matched so perfectly.

If you can make a trip it would definitely be worth it and beneficial to see what colour you are and then you can make online purchases going forwards. Selfridges also launched a virtual life drawing class on their Instagram page where Kardashian West posed for a series of images wearing items from the collection. Fans were then able to interpret the image however they like and upload it via social media for a chance to be picked to feature on Selfridges Instagram page by Kardashian West herself.

The in-store experience included biscuits, napkins and coffee cups decorated with the Skims logo for the public to pick up. The coffee names even linked with the tonal theme “Coco Espresso”, “Sand Latte”, “Clay Cappuccino” and “Sienna Americano”.
